IMPORTANT Band Camp Instructions
Because the hall outside the band room is small, Mr. D wants all shoes/socks left outside of the building. The practice field will likely be a bit wet all week and afternoon thunderstorms are common this time of year. You’ll need a dry pair of socks and crocks/slides/sandals for use indoors. There will be a footwashing station outside of the band hall.
Arrive 15 minutes early to ensure that you are on the field with your instrument, music, and water and be ready to begin practice promptly. For drop-off, parents please enter and leave from skipper drive and drive around the back of the school as students will be walking across Purple Martin Lane to the practice field.
Place all personal items: dry socks/crocks, dry t-shirt, lunch/money, sunglasses/hat, sunscreen, drinks, etc. in a small bag and drop-off in band room.
Put on sunscreen before you arrive (you’ll want to reapply later in the day) and bring a refillable water bottle or camel pack for use while on the field.
Be prepared to give pants size to the Pep Uniform ladies that will be fitting you throughout the week. ALL band members must get the new black pants for this year. Girl’s sizes range from 2-28 and boy’s sizes go by waist and range from waist 28-52. You must also know your inseam. This will help the ladies have a place to start while fitting you. If you know your T-shirt, shorts, polo sizes you may have a chance to try those on as well. Click for more Pep Uniform details Click to preview order form (DO NOT PRINT)
